all stick welds full pen 7018
Only 1 thing to do ,withold full payment until happy with work carried out....Did you lay that yourself? If so well done, it's not an easy job & it looks to be a great job. I bet you knees hurt from using the carpet kicker!
A good carpet fitter makes the job look easy, unfortunately they are hard to find. Our local carpet shop had a great guy who had to retire with a heart condition & a new young guy came to lay vinyl in our kitchen. Unfortunately I wasn't there, if I had I would have kicked him to the road & fired the vinyl after him. He didn't line the squares on the pattern up with the walls, on an 8' wall the vinyl is off square by an inch! Around a mat well he stuck the vinyl down, by the time I came home it had lifted & was catching the door. We got him back to fix that, I wanted him to fit trim strips to hold it down. I missed him again so he took the quick way out & glued it again & of course it lifted again. I ended up going to the carpet shop, shouted a lot & came home with trim strips & fitted them myself.
No been kept in a controlled atmosphereI hope you took them from a vacuum sealed packet, kept them in a heated quiver & dumped the leftover rods every day!

its a bradley hand shaper polygon range of shaper
http://www.lathes.co.uk/bradley/
there is no info about the vs on the lathe site but on found info it quotes
The v blocks are to hold a shaft, then swivel the head 90 degrees and cut a keyway or splines. CF the Drummond hand shaper has a hole through the head to enable this. If you think about it keyways and spline are very much something you would want a mill for nowadays as it is difficult in a lathe so as a hand shaper was the poor man's mill it is desirable to provide this facility. You might also use them for putting flats on a shaft, again a good selling point.
ive been wondering how to cut a rack and pinion gears and this will make them with careful thought and build.
ive already come across a site that can provide those type of gears and able to print them off
whats the item in the middle pic!!!!I got this today, not that old, early 50's. Had not looked into it.
