Wasn't it sitting on a pallet in your thread about it? That must have given the size away a bit.

Pallets can come in a range of sizes though, and the perspective made it look a bit smaller. I thought it would be half the size

Arrived courtesy of DPD today... a pair of 6" Paramo G-clamps. Dunno how old they are, but they're of a damn sight better material and construction than the cheapy clamps I've been using for the past 20 years. I suspect they haven't been used much, if at all.
Really need to keep my eyes open for more of these.

Yep, I used many decent ones over the years, but when I went to buy some, during a tool-kit rebuild all I could find in my budget were Record copies from Shanghai. To be fair to them, they've stood up remarkably well, but when it gets down to the crunch, they have a slight twist in them under strain that the Records never exhibited. At the time, pre-internet, it was harder to find good used stuff, and I would've quite happily bought unabused good quality ones if I could have found them. Unfortunately, budget dictated cheapy Chinesium or battered and knackered Records.

Yeah, many happy returns. There is a thread on here with a link for the 170mm (I think) discs. I got one and purchased 10 discs for about £12 IIRC.

Nice toy to have, I got a second hand Makita abrasive saw from @HughF (I think) it’s an ace bit of kit. I may change that opinion once I get the Rapidor working that I picked up from @MattF

Photos tomorrow, as I’ve just locked them up for the night.

One, a very cheap angle grinder I’ve only had for about 2 weeks, but it didn’t appreciate the work I gave it to do, and magic smoke appeared to spew forth from it’s casing.

Second one, the lock button stopped working........it may be bent. There again, hubby got it 2nd hand years ago, and he’ll never miss it.

I was only cutting 1 metre lengths of 6mm mild steel lengtheise, surely that wasn’t the problem.

A lightning trip from Cirencester back up to somewhere near rugby again. Advertised on Facebook, it was in the boot of the car four hours after the advert was posted, thanks to world's best Wifey! We're still frantically making space so we can get it out of the car and put together in the shed, but it looks tidy, and comes with the milling slide too, among other things!
