Oh no I'm not setting up on my own it was meant to say for a company not as a company.

I know a few guys who are easily over 50 working on classic cars and have no spare time from being in demand, One guy is in his 70's. I guess if you have a life time of skills it gives your customers confidence.

I don't think you can beat a lifetime of skills where it comes to restoring classics! I still have to much to learn

This was the last mini sill I replaced, removed the old outer, repaired a few pin holes on the inner. Cut out an old MOT repair on the flitch panel and welded in the new. It then got etched, stone chipped and then 2 coats of 2 pack flame red.

A big old mystery.

It’s made by Parker Hale, it comes in two bits and makes a 1.7m ish rod. It’s 10mm square bar. Anyone know? It was free from a skip, I reckoned if it was made in England it must be good steel!
