Best check the wording of the law, from memory its ammunition makes no mention of live or not so depending on copper / magistrate it could be an offence

As you can buy inert rounds from most military themed museums I would say he’s ok. If I recall you can own the the parts of a bullet without a licence but once you assemble the whole thing it becomes ammunition

Tim I suspect that those articles are usually factory produced goods checked by a company / business after being certified at the point of purchase to that business that they are spent cases & are not active before being made in to ornaments & key rings etc .

If you find anything that you suspect is live, then you must report it to the police immediately. If you've took your finds home, and then later discover that you've found a live bullet, then contact the police, and they will come to collect it.

NEVER attempt to deactivate a live bullet! This is also illegal without the correct licence and equipment. Not only would you be breaking the law, but you'd also be putting yourself in great danger.

It's great that so many of you will post images of bullets etc, to ask the appropriate questions. It's much better to ask, than to live in ignorance.

The forum will not condone any form of illegal activity. Any comments concerning owning live ammunition, or attempting to 'deactivate' ammunition, will be instantly removed, and appropriate action taken against the poster.

there’s no de ac cert offered with inert rounds, so nothing to say once he’s cooked off the powder and primer that it ever was a live round to be fair. I understand where you’re coming from but I highly doubt a successful prosecution could be brought about

was given this today its a Rolls hacksaw
dont think its anything to do with the Derby lot but certainly well made has rack and pinion adjustment and made of decent stuff
must have been expensive too compared to a basic one

Today, I got a fibre optic interweb connection!

My existing ISP sent me a box with a new modem, with no cost or change(s) to my existing call/web package.
Connected it up and it installed automatically on the desktop with no falling about with passwords etc

I might run a speed test later to see what up/download I'm getting now - previously it could sometimes be abysmal

3HP Brigs engine, I got it for spares for a friends mower. With luck the carb will be good.



Found this is a second hand shop, a Wolf drill powered Lathe.
For £1, worth a punt.

I'm about half a mile from the exchange, but there's a roadside cabinet about 50 yds away which was only connected/wired/whatever they do last year.

Yep, 20 is the diameter and the second pair of digits is the thickness in mm/10

thats the same stuff triumph con rods were forged from ,hi duty alloys, think ,were a subsidary of RR think there called special metals now or possibly wiggins industrial alloys

Just ran a test and it came back with this Ping: 39ms D/load 20.65Mbps Upload 1.11Mbps

Before, d/load was between 3 & 4Mbps so a big improvement. U/load was [iirc] 0.35Mbps so improved but still great?
