I've moved out into the countryside far away from skips, now the old historic canal pumping station down the lane is being re-roofed, and I've ended up with ten 3" x 12" x 11 ft old rafters
I don't know how it happened.

I am on a mission. A friend has asked me to acquire some bits.
So I started, First place was a shop I only visit if and when I am in the area. Then only if I can park easily. Since they have appeared on the TV. it has gone to their heads. I give you an example. Old style bit and brace, £1 at car boot or £4 if cleaned up. They are asking for £10.

Any way they didn't have the parts on my list.
So I left and went back to work.
But on the way back from the hospital(Routine check) I popped into another place.
No, nothing off the list. But it is a charity shop, so I did part with some ££££.
1/4" Rawplug drill. Sharp as well.
Hard wax repair sticks. Look new as well. Plus a applicator.
2 polishing mops, plus compound, screwdriver and 2 chucks.
One is from a bit and brace, with good springs, so will be used as spares. The other I hope will fit one or the other of the breast drill I am looking for chuck springs or a good chuck.

The 3 jaw chuck, doesn't fit any of mine.
How well.
But, my friend has just left, dumped some new but un-sellable stock.
All returned from customers, where he works. All have bean opened, or have tamper seals removed.
The wax have had a tiny amount removed, so I am guessing the customer did not like it.
All the spray cans have the lid seal damaged, but no evidence of being used, just odd.
The "meths" have the labels damaged. One just has a a date written on it in black marker.
As to the bits, I just said thank you.

Today, a pal called to borrow spanners/sockets for a job on his mower and brought me a shoemaker's last which he'd found in one of his sheds...."because you do things with stuff".... 
It's a small one, used I think for childrens' or womens' footwear. As yet, it's not been allocated a place or use on 'the list', but......
