Weeeeeeeeell, not aquired it yet, but committed myself to buying a Marlow milling machine when I get back off my next work rotation in about a months time.
I'll have a pretty handy workshop set up this year, hopefully it'll be productive.

First two items are not new to me.
In MIS I restored them and we used them until we acquired better vices. They were then put aside to be donated or swopped with other MIS.
So when I saw them in a local charity I was a bit surprized. But £1:00 I brought them back.




Also in the same shop I found my missing Wax filler sticks.

...after a few weekends of sanding, drilling, and plumbing, a fully functioning utility room.

When we bought the house, the room was dark and dank, unloved and hopelessly impractical, so OH, bless her, designed her ideal layout from scratch, bought brand new scaffold boards and the tube and fittings from DC Iron, (a superb company near Newcastle, great folk to deal with ), and told me to crack on!

Had to rip all the old stuff out, move the sink and associated pipe work which was originally under the window, have the walls skimmed, then construct a large worktop, which involved LOTS of sanding and much sawdust. Finally fitted some matching shelves, and have just recommissioned the sink. Suffice it to say, I’m chuffed to bits with it, OH is more so, and my stock of brownie points has gone through the roof . She must be happy with it, as she’s let me store my dive cylinders in here instead of the garage .

He is what local we caller a "Trawler".
They trawl round other car boots, second hand shops, house clearance, even E bay to find stuff they think they can sell.

When I car boot, those stalls are one of the last I look at..
Their prices are normally to high and they try to make a sell.

They are a few rungs below the charities who run stalls and try to pass them self's off normal punters.

Yesterday I acquired my first impact wrench. I wanted something cheap, compact, cordless, brushless and a complete kit with batteries and charger. It will be for home use. Used it today to change rear shock absorbers of a corsa and it did the job. A bit restricted on internet options because so many traders will not deliver to the Highlands so ordered from aliexpress.

Had a ride to collect some seeds (anyone know what they are) then up to some local wind turbines. In a crate with a load of rubbish, were two batteries, but as I was on the bike, I didn't fancy humping two home to find both are shot. I’m off back for the other

The batteries will be shot.
We bin ours every 4 years.

How did you do that?

Not by arm wrestling SWMBO! Simple explanation, went to donate blood, first sample which measures haemoglobin levels was low so got a sample taken from my arm, still too low so off to have a cuppa and a biscuit. Later on went out for a meal and I felt my arm a bit swollen, reckon the needle went into the vein but punctured the other side so the blood was leaking into my arm. A fair size bruise but without the usual painful trauma to cause it.
