Yesterday I acquired my first impact wrench. I wanted something cheap, compact, cordless, brushless and a complete kit with batteries and charger. It will be for home use. Used it today to change rear shock absorbers of a corsa and it did the job. A bit restricted on internet options because so many traders will not deliver to the Highlands so ordered from aliexpress.

Today i purchased a new mask as my old one went missing.

...4 rather sexy pieces of shiny new 1/8” ally plate, 3’ long by 18” wide. (Already earmarked for an upcoming project to make some wide load marker boards for the truck).

And underneath the 10-odd tons of assorted pressed steel roofing sheets on the trailer, destined for St Andrews and North Berwick, is a heavy duty 6’x4’ pallet that will be swiftly acquired on the morow and taken home at the weekend. Cut in half lengthwise, it will make a perfect base in the greenhouse for standing growbags and large pots on. More brownie points await... .

And as I shall be in North Berwick tomorrow, I predict that I shall acquire a bucket of sand off of the beach.

Empty whisky bottles filled with sand make great bookends. Environmentally friendly, a talking point for sure, sturdy as you like, and you have the great joy of emptying the bottle .

A 2 micron dial test indicator, required to set the play in the Deckel spindle after I disassemble and inspect it.

Actually the specifications say 1 micron of play, but I think I can get that from this.

Not sure wether to try a wee dram tonight, save it for the weekend, or save it for next month’s dive trip to Kinlochbervie. Either way, it should be good .

This rather splendid step-ladder platform thing, from a skip.

There’s a couple of broken bolts, so obviously it’s cheaper and easier to skip it . No use to me as is, but a few minutes drilling and sawing will give up a lot of useful parts . God forbid I have to collect a load, the trailer’s half full of my tat .

Today I got for free a grass cutter (wire trimmer I don't really know what is the better term to describe the tool) and a chainsaw
The first needs a new carburettor and maybe tomorrow it will be sent to my door
The second needs a new bar oil pump
I can't make a photo now because I have to go out for a little welding repair on a tiller but as soon as possible I will post a photo with in the grass cutter ,the chainsaw and the 3,2 7018 rods that I bought a week ago
