So basically spent a ball of money this week and couldn be happier
Went Friday to lidl got the bench drill mitre saw with stand and table saw (haven’t took pics) haven’t used the table saw yet it’s for an upcoming job but the mitre saw is lovely and more than I need for the work I do.
Yesterday I went and upgraded my cordless after 3 years of being used hard my 18v makita is getting bet I can’t complain as it was never designed for the abuse it’s took but it took it so new makita it is worked out cheaper to buy the kit and I need the impact anyway

A baby pallet truck. My oldest pallet truck is in the downstairs barn, and despite having seal changed, it isn't very well. The blue truck is bit too big for the workshop, I don't move pallets around in the workshop, only in the barn so the good blue one is going into the barn below.

The baby one will be used for moving machines such as the Rapidor hacksaw around that I use occasionally then put away, and the big woodworking bench around the workshop, I find I'm using pallet trucks for all sorts of jobs and if I make a bench or base for a machine, I always make it pallet truck friendly so it can be moved easily.

Yesterday the torch on my old Cebora went intermitent stopping play on the Moggy. Just as i was about to order a new torch online my mobile goes, "Would i like a mig welder?" Yes please!" An so today i acquired a Murex 160 mig welder in a deal so it stands me in nowt. When my mate delivered it lo it has a pile of gear with it, Two full size bottles one of argoshield half full & one full one of argon. Two 5kg reels of .8 mig wire, half a reel of 316 stainless, 25 .8 tips, 25 1.0 tips, half a dozen new shrouds, new regulator, two good torches. Welder has been blown out with compressed air now to see if it lights up, If its ok i might buy a lotto ticket!

Today I fulfilled a childhood dream. 30 years ago I saw a 3 axis cnc lathe with live tooling. Yes, I was an odd teenager,but there and then I decided I needed one of them in my life. Well, today I bought a 4 axis lathe, ten tool turret,with every second tool live,and with a 12 tool toolchanger at the back. Admittedly not new,but one owner since new, only done 200 hours since 2004. More before that. Came with a swarf conveyor and a shed load of tooling. I is a happy bunny

A coolant pump for my power hacksaw. I got it from one of those ‘vintage shops’ that distress the paint, polish the brass etc, you know the types... they had it down as an old air compressor attachment. As always I was delighted to liberate it from a life in a modern house/bar.

It’s a big old Soviet made thing! It sits quite snugly beside the flywheel, I’ll need to find a trough for it though I have a plan for that too...

I rebuilt a gearbox for one of them. Exactly the same as that one.
