he said if they don't look good put them on the floor and roll the splice under your foot. It works too.

Thaqt's the standard way of finishing any splice. Taught that in the scouts.

few bits waiting for me when i got home today, My trusty corded bosch multitool burnt out the other week, it's served me proud over 15 years so can't complain. I've bought a new one, gone cordless this time. I love these oscillating multitools especially with a Bi metal blade for nipping bolts/screws/nails off etc. Few bits from the 600 group for the lathe too.

Sadly most gets sold to up-cyclers and is seen in the local car boots sales and a few up-cycling shops.



Found this plane blade, loos in the bottom. I hoped it would fit the No 51/2 I have gpt.

Got a few chav upgrade parts (M-Sport gloss black grille and badges) in the post for the E60 bargain and sourced. new plastic pin and 2 x bushes for the clutch pedal to cure the freeplay and the low pedal.

You can see the wear in the bushes, the pin was ok but the total cost from Sytner BMW was just £8.60!! No brainer.

what possible need would neccesitate such a large amount of 12-18in long, 1/2" 3/4" and upwards holes in (apparently) every old toolbox?

the amount of large augers i see suggests that every joiner must have used a range of sizes.
but, apart from draw bored tenons in woodframed houses, ive never seen a use?

why would a cabinet maker have them? for instance?

They'd use them to things like coring out doors to take 5 level mortice locks etc.
