It got the war department arrow stamp (learnt this off the forum!) and 1945 on it so it's 74 years old?

About halfway up the main road it's behind the post office.
It sells allsorts of stuff. Military, a few tools, trinkets and I also saw a massive blow lamp about 12" tall.....

When my boys were younger we spent a lot of time in Lyme, also wasted a lot of money on “Geological Hammers” to go fossil hunting

Put some oil down the plug and after sitting a few days try rocking it in gear

Its been soaking for a bit. Tonight I put a spanner on the end of the crank and it turns freely until it stops dead... so thats a rod bust, a dropped valve, or maybe just a stuck valve where its been sat for 30 years with one propped open. Gentlemen, place your bets..

I had a Yamaha YCS5E also known as The 200 Electric. Was the precursor to the RD200 I believe. Wish I still had that one.

I had a couple of RD200B's, the model before the disc braked "coffin" tank model.

Popped over the Tay to pay the palace of glittering delights that is Highland Industrial Supply a visit. The pricing there seems to be entirely random, always to my benefit!

Came away with some E6013 rods and some wee brass wire wheels... not done any ARC welding since '93 when I did a coded course when a cadet at maritime college!

HIS in Inversneckie used to be good for having two or three sales tables laid out with a mix of stuff [good reductions too], but since they reorganised their layout that seems to have gone by the board.

That said, I seldom pay ticket prices - I think the lads just adjust the price depending on who you are......

They have 2 tables just inside the front door with these reduced items on them. Always random bits and pieces..... HIS and MacGregors are my favourite shops, happy to wander around them for ages. Often get charged trade rate if I go in my work uniform, they see the orange and just assume its trade even though I pay cash.
