A nice gold toilet might be very posh and a great status symbol but what happens when a drunk guest goes into the music room and finds this?
I had a couple of those extrusions in the garden for years, finally chopped them up and took them to the tip last month. Seems a shame to chuck it but the rounded profile on top makes it hard to do anything with (unless you can weld alu ). I think I sold the motor to a member here, still got the rack and pinion somewhere.Had to visit the great metropolis of Stockton on Tees this morning and as I had to drive past Machine Mart, I thought it’d be rude not to call in. Picked up this storage set-up:

A few minutes drilling it to the wall and my assortment of margarine tubs full of screws and nails are on the way to being sorted, in keeping with my recent efforts to tidy up the mancave:

The bench is a tip as it’s covered in parts after I removed the stairlift from my late MIL’s house this afternoon. ‘‘Twas an absolute sod to remove, and ended up being stripped down to its constituent parts, which admittedly yielded a large quantity of useful hardware, the motor and drive unit next to the aforementioned margarine tub on the bench, and this:

...a 13’ by 5” length of extruded ally. Not sure what to use it for, but thought about getting rid of the fins off the bottom where the rack was bolted on, then cutting it into 4 equal lengths and bolting or welding them together to make a surface plate. Had my Spinal Tap straight edge on it and it’s surprisingly flat, so might be a project.
ive had it for years its Marked Crl and no 1 on the t other side
presumably it held the rail to a sleeper but cant figure our what tbe curved profile was for
makes a nice swage block View attachment 192765

No, it's a 5 speed manual. Tax is the same as any other pickup, registered as private light goods which is about £260 a year I think. Is it auto? and how scary is the road tax?
