When I first got into music production virtual instruments we're not cheap.
Ok. You still get expensive ones but they come up on offers regularly.

Reduced from £95 to £12 for a week.
Don't mind if I do.

Nice little modular additive synth and the mappable x y pad makes getting movement in a sound a breeze. Each corner can be assigned to any parameter.
The line represents time and the speed varied on each leg.

Update: This is the finest single malt that I’ve ever had the privilege of drinking.

Just worked out that after buying it from a place that has Viking influences, it travelled a few miles shy of 1100 miles over 4 days in a Swedish truck via Aberdeen then west and east London, Lakenheath and North Yorkshire before it got home, and it was worth every mile and minute!

My body has a pretty violent shuddering reaction to spirits. Completely uncontrollable for a few seconds after a sip. I take the hint and stay away from it these days.

Today I acquired this, well it was actually yesterday now that I think about it, days are a blur as I am quite busy at the moment

20 inserts and a 63mm dia face mill body for just over £100 plus VAT. It was going to cost me that just for 10 Sandvik inserts for the face mill I have been using.

To day I acquired not to trust another person's actions

Got to job today alarm is playing up (beeps every 5 mins or so) we had next door round the last time it was the battery back up on the alarm box out side so he took the battery out still bleeping. We also switched the power off but still happens
Ok let me have a quick look so opened the panel an beeps keep coming removed battery and power still beeping I said the sound in this cupboard dont seames be coming from the alarm
Reply yes it is we removed all the other stuff and it's still beeping so I carry on removed the beeper and the whole internal panel gave it to the wife and put this in the kitchen
As see walked to kitchen it beeps again In the cupboard I pull out the pen holder and in there is a bluetooth speaker that goes in car that's running out of power

I turned and said I'm assuming you did not remove every thing then

They looked a bit sheepish

I remember a loch fishing trip to Orkney with a mate. After we got off the ferry at Kirkwall, we headed into the local Spar shop to stock up on the essentials for the rented loch-side cottage at Stenness - you know.....bacon, eggs, milk, coffee, whisky, beer etc, as you do.

I spotted a few bottles of 100 proof Highland Park and just had to buy a couple of them [no....it was one for us and one for my Brother in Edinburgh ]. Picture this...fishing done for the day, peat fire burning, food been had and then settling down for a dram. In my ignorance, I was expecting a really smooth drink and took a mouthful.....it was the first time I'd ever been mugged by a drink!! I couldn't speak!! We didn't pour it down the sink though....

On a bright day, we decided to do the distillery tour and at the end I tried to buy more - the lass in the shop said they weren't allowed to sell it there as it all went to Gordon & MacPhail in Elgin.

Has a built in ethernet port but no display output, means I can use it as is without any adapter cables, can even use power over ethernet so one cable and its plugged into my router

yesterday a matchbox lorry turned up in the post. so I'm thinking it would be rude not to convert it to radio control. (showing a few more bits that have been bought for the build. the truck is approx 10cm long.

I can see it being a build thread some time in the future (there will be some machining but no welding)

Got this clamp , from a local yard, when, I was in doing a job. 5 litre can , for scale. The screw is, 1 & 1/4" Diameter. 63" between jaws.
