I bought a cheap set containing a drill & 1/2" impact driver years ago. The driver doesn't have the torque to remove wheel nuts but if you crack them first with a bar it will spin them off. Likewise it tightens them just enough to finish with a torque wrench.
It will handle up to M8 bolts very well & just about torques M10 fully. Great when stripping an engine or for removing a sump pan.

The main reason I got one was to do the initial loosening - if I have to use other tools then I might as well carry on as before. Any other 'jobs' I'd have for it would have been ancillary to that prime purpose.

This little gizmo
It’s called The Bard’s Headspace and is basically a headphone crossfeed filter which feeds a tiny bit of the right channel into the left and vice versa to make listening to headphones more like listening to speakers.
It seems to work really well, less fatiguing than having the sound squirted directly into the centre of your brain.

Can you tell me the serial number of your sphere, it's likely to be on the front rhs side of the front way .Or on the tailstock bed end of the ways . My sphere has grease caps to lube the spindle taper bearings. recently replaced them with grease nipples as it's a bit fiddly filling & putting the filled cap back on when you have reduced sensations in your finger tips .
The cover over the spindle pulley's does not have a knob on mine. I see you have some sort of plate on the RH. foot front .. what's it say on it ? There is no evidence of one ever been put on mine .
I have a black zamart hand wheel on my cross slide & a black Bakelite hand wheel on the tail stock .
I replaced the lamp post tool holder with a quick change one .. found some hero had used an ordinary bolt to try and clamp a different tool holder to the slide and had actually pulled a mole hill of metal up by doing so .
Spent a few hours scraping & filing it flat again, then turned down some long "T"nuts get an amazing fit in the slide to mount the new QCTP.
I have the correct MOLO for my version of lathe which came from an ex war stock auction unused still in the packing crate in Feb 1946 , circa manufactured 1943 will take out th bearing perhaps one day and see what info is engraved on the bearings as this is how you can date the lathe .
Ran up a set of drawings to show the various gear arrangements on the banjo & spindle etc. for speeds & feeds ..happy to copy them if you want .
Also in the MOLO there are the spindle speeds wrt each pulley set up .
A good copy of the MOLO can be had from the USA or occasionally the UK internet . On another site I use one of the members has built up a massive library of detailed info for Atlas / Craftsman cum Sphere lathes . Certain parts are still available from Sears USA.
He might be able to identify yours by the serial number .. he couldn't with my lathe as it appears to have been a special used in torpedo weapons development RN .
Tony of Lathes UK also has a fair bit of information on the Sphere .
It seems that it is not too difficult to 3D print a full set of change gears in ABS plastic as it is strong enough to do it . ..something I may well try in the future once I get a better understanding of Fusion 360 to do it .

I just bought a taper turner for my Bantam. It was err... not cheap... but I haven’t seen one complete with leadscrew and nut before and with all the correct parts. I’ve wanted one for ages. Also it will be shipped from England to NZ

I said "before" just because I know that you are UK based and when you picked up all the lathes in UK you have to go over the border and search other lathes

Do you pick up only lathes or also milling machines and mill drills?
