I had a set of super slinky’s from my son in law. Cheers anyway. Wasn’t aware CG sells strings.

Boring head with bar adapters on an INT 30 or 40 taper
INT 30 or 40 adapter. Internal threads aren't that common, so it's possibly something relatively bespoke.
R8 side lock holder.

*I say INT, but can be referred to as ISO.

It's worth noting BT/ISO/DIN/CAT all use similar size tapers, it's just the flange/spigot that varies.

Called up the local waste site to donate a new waxing kit that the wife had never used (still boxed) as they have a charity shop there. Clocked this YAMAHA RGXA2 guitar missing one string and the volume control knob. Asked how much and bartered until I scored it for £37.50. He said he’d seen one used on eBay for £100 but they were obviously there to recycle used equipment primarily and to make some money but still provide a bargain so they’d marked it at £50 but we’re happy to haggle. When I checked eBay they were £700 plus when new and still selling for £240! Result.......not selling though but still pleased.

Spent an hour or two this evening going through it with my usual cleaning regime starting with brasso rubbed into the fretboard to lift the grubbiness and polish the brass frets and to lift the marks from the body and pickups, Jim Dunlop lemon oil to treat the wood, fast fret to condition the neck then Mr Sheen to polish the body before a new set of strings.

Boring head at the top probably on a 50 taper. 40 taper in next photo probably screws onto the boring head in the first photo. Last photo is a side lock milling holder with an R8 arbor. Will fit most Bridgeport mills.

Well things don’t always go to plan. Went to go and arrange getting some gun drills made. That sorted,I went to go collect a heated platen press for a friend,as I was near where it needed to be collected from and the van was empty . Got that. Came away with more than I bargained for...A nice,very clean ,hardly used hydrovane compressor. Perfect for running the toolchanger on my 5 axis lathe. And a Pels Nibbler. Quite bizarre really as I missed out on one on eBay earlier this week as it went for more than I was prepared to pay. This one,apart from being a lot cheaper,is also in a much better condition too. Must be karma or something

Might have acquired something I didnt expect today,

Popped to the local gun shop to look at a cheap gun for the mrs, and unfortunately there was a recently in browning 725 hunter with 26" barrels at bargain price and then got a deal on it and then again got a christmas money back deal also!!

So ended up paying less than 2/3rds of retail for it. but oh well cant resist temptation always.

Now I've seen something to give an idea of scale, definitely 50, and definitely no use for a Bridgeport!

I'm sure an R8 adapter could be made, but it would be a waste of a good boring head.
