It wont work on the mill motor...you need to have a 240V 3 phase motor mateoh mite aswell make life easy and get this and wire it straight up and no faffing.

And if I read that sales blurb and spec of the drive you posted it was a 240 in 415 out - that means it will run a 415 3 phase motor. 380 to 415 is all the same, neither here nor there. And if you really want to, you can run your mill on a 240v output inverter, just lower top speed and torque, 38 Hz is fine. My Fritz runs this way, as does the big horizontal Richmond, not managed to star the windings yet.the motor is a 3 wire star 3 phase 410v motor.
Ahh, properly - now that's a word. Properly meaning at its rated torque. Correct. But it will run at less than its rated torque at lower voltage, and you can hear it losing synch and slowing down, so it does tell you. Luckilly a mill only needs high speed on small cutters, big cutters you gear them down. So with a big cutter take smaller cuts.A motor with the windings connected in Star has at any time, two 220V windings in series, so you need a 415V output inverter to drive it properly.
The 220V output inverters will only properly drive a 415v (nominal supply) motor wired in Delta, as it outputs 230V (nominal) between any pair of wires, since that's what each winding of the motor wants to see.
If you have a star/delta selectable motor you can run it from either, of course.
Get a 240v in, 4d15v out VFD if you can't change the motor wiring to delta. I have one on my little mill. Variable speed is so handy.What an afternoon . But its home.
