Just a few pics. Iv got further than this but haven't taken many pics. Iv got to the point of trying to tie the cross vice into the roller system. Proving to be a bit of a pain but it's fun trying to figure it out. Turning the front rollers to the correct sizes for notching is next

nice have u slightly tapered the rollers either side to stop belt run off and drive roller might need increasing in size to stop belt slip

Which way would you taper the rollers? So its a tad narrower in the centre?

Im looking to build something similar, but have it so I can use as a linisher and also mount it on the end off my mill table and use as a tube notcher

Chrism, It needs to be barrelled.

As for using it on a mill. I wouldn't all the abrasive off the belt will kill your slides

the rollers on mine are for a 6inch belt there tapered off either side about 3/4 of an inch in either end and just under an 1/8 th taper there is a post on here a guy in america made one .it has photos of mine showing the tapers with a rule agaist them for refrence someone will find them

It's in a working state now. Iv done a bit of notching with it already and and the results are pretty darn good! well happy

Nice work, how long does it take to do a typical mitre?

How are you going to phase youre mitres?

It doesn't take too long if the belt is in good nick. Just got some ceramic belts and they worked real fast, just hope they last longer than the last ones...
Not sure what phasing the mitres means, but I'm guessing its getting it in the right plane relative to the opposite end? Not really sure on that, bit of a guessing game at the moment.
