While the hudmut tools are good they only take the element of skill out of the job and obviously enclose the dust so from that POV they are great.
They don't do a better job than what can be done on a wheel they do as good a job as a wheel.
With the right wheel and the right guy infront of it the results won't be told apart.
My preferred ac prep involves 2 angles which I can do in around 20 seconds on a wheel. I'm sure the same can be achieved on an enclosed type but it's gonna take more faffing and guess work. So I personally wouldn't want one.
Drill grinders are the same. They are very good but a good guy on a good wheel will easily match them. Nothing wrong at all with owning these tools From a safety POV but the skills of handgrinding should also be adopted so that Your flexibly able to do both. If you can't do it as good by hand then Id say practice till you can get the same result from both.
