Drill is now complete and back in the workplace.
All good mate. Will do some test holes soon.Beautiful. Is it running true?
Old school British engineering.I wish I hadn't seen this. Now I NEED one.
Yes I did wonder this. I have a couple of bits to do on the handle. Out of all the heaps of bsw stuff I had. You would think I'd have some washers that fit......no....some on orderBit of friendly advice, from some one who made the same mistake.
On the crank handle, reduce the diameter of the washer.
You will find, in use, your hand will creep over it. Sods law says, it will attract a bit of swarf or similar.
Then it goes into your hand.

I like washers to fit with a very small amount of movement. Those in the picture I used just to get it together.Funny you should mention finding a washer to it...............

Must have at least one lathe there that can turn metal?
Still got plenty of room. My Harrison comes home soon from my yard. That's nextIs this a record for the forum, I wonder?
Thanks top-up. I still have a few slight mods to do on the handle.Give it wiggle room, nippage room you mean! Best way would be to counteract the handle so the washers covered.
Beautiful drill by the way Spencer.
