We are launching 2 new mig processes in the next month, SpeedArc and SpeedPulse, you can weld up too 48% faster on steel

Now that sounds interesting....it would keep the bosses off our necks saying we need to produce faster...do you have any examples on that yet Matt?

What you need to do is get a rank amateur with shaky hands to do demo pics like that with the top spec kit.

When are we coming to play with your toys anyway - as a rank amateur with shaky hands I volunteer for all the demos!

Sub arc is a great process, don't even need to wear a welding mask even though your welding at 600 amps

Unfortunately sub-arc machine was not fired up (awaiting procedure results from Lloyds) 600 amps is low for this machine, running at 800A

Bought in for a massive job, I reckon if welded manualy, a guy could serve his time on completing one run, such was the size of the preps!!

Ps, viewed yer new album Matt, good stuff ma man!! SS tube: Lorch have plans to introduce orbital welding kit, or just keep as is?? I'm hoping to have access to a STT plant sometime next month, should be interesting seeing/feeling the difference compared to run o the mill squirty!!

That's scary...
It's been worrying me lately that both my wrists start hurting me on and off now...but yes t'is how you say it, no pain no gain...never had so much pain before i started welding! (burns, arceye, cramps from holding the torch...)

its not a pain so much as a numbness i have now, really bad when i wake up but hopefully will pass, had it before. you can get an operation, very minor, to sort it out. away from welding for a month which is no harm. you have to watch how you hold yourself when your welding, your posture.

Yeah, you're right it's worse in the morning, for me it's not so much a numbness...strange tingeling feeling that sometimes spreads out to my fingers...
Yes, i do take care about how i stand when welding, tis important not to cramp up too much...or you will suffer the consequences later when you're trying to stand up straight!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm sounds the same as what I have lass, summit to do with the radial nerve. I received appointment letter yesterday to visit dept o clinical neurosciences to to get wired up to summit

I hope it aint your wedding ring hand, be a bloody waste o a damn good ring if worse case scenario, I suppose you can have it converted to ear ring???

thanks for the link. "Ask your trade union safety representative or
employee representative for advice". they dont miss anything do they. i dont have an employer so they dont give a dam about me, and then these are the first to claim they want an equel society, makes me sick. will get new angle grinder. 25 year old makita 9" could be part responsible for this, will have to report it to elf'n'saftey.
