I really need to strip and repaint my edwards folder and meddings drill....

Finding time and space is the priority at the moment though !!

Haven't yet found any bargains at our tip (aka Amenity Site), they are pretty good though and they have a number of on-site metal units that have a leave/re-use policy where you can leave stuff that you can't be bothered selling, but that is still usable for others to have.

However, we have had some unscrupulous types helping themselves to a lot of it and then trying to sell it via local ads etc.

They have now had to implement a 15 minute rule so they cant go for a recky, and then ring their gippo mates to bring the van to load it all up.

The real scrounge bonanza is a Sunday morning tour of the local industrial estates skips, then a mooch round the back of the retail park, i used to run a car boot sale off that , but of course people took the **** and now the whole of my towns industry has locked bins. And the retailers like T K Max now destroy everything before binning it.

It irks me too, especially when they're telling you that you can't take nowt out of the containers, yet you can merrily look over and see their stash at the side of their hut.

Which is why I struck up an acquaintanceship with the tip foreman and if I needed various items he'd call me if something came in, exactly why the shed they work out of has so much gear at the side. Nice little extra for them.
