Just bought £66 worth of stuff from Screwfix to build an up down system. Not including the pipe benders/cutters, blow torch etc that I already have. Sanders due to be picked up to go back to Sealey. I spoke to the shop I bought it from. It’s not going to cost them anything to post it. Sealey pay for the lot. Hopefully that’s the end of it otherwise it’ll be going back until they replace enough parts to sort the problem out. If they need to make a upgrade part because parts keep failing then I hope they engineer a new part for it. Like a recall or something.

All plumbed in. Had to re solder one leaky joint. And now a slight leak on the tank union. I did have a 1/2 BSPT (T= tapered) union nipple in there. Now a BSP non tapered, so I need a lot more PTFE tape and PTFE fluid around it when I get around to it. I can add a desiccant filter somewhere along the line as well now. Thanks guys!

I wasn’t sure if the ball drain valves needed to be below the height of the compressor tank outlet or not, so I put the last drain well below it to be sure.

I had a leaky thread on the non return valve above the compressor tank as well. Packed it out with lots of PTFE so I can just about thread it in. Leaking no more. I know to go for the thread lock if all else fails. Thanks.
