Welding rod question

7016 is a low hydrogen rod, very similar to 7018.

6010 is cellulose and very different to 7016/8, it's often used for tacking and root runs especially in pipe welding. 6011 is designed to do the same as 6010 but will work on AC welders, 6010 is strictly DC only and many inverters cannot run them properly.

Is 7010 on the same lines as 6011 or 6010

Yep the first 2 numbers denote the strenght of the metal put down. The second 2 are to do with flux composition and positions. There are small differences that I've noticed between higher strength electrodes say 7018 compared to 8018 but not massve.

Is 6011 worth buying for roothe pass when building stuff

Depends on what youre making, personally I don't have much of a use for them, if I was welding really dirty steel that I couldn' clean properly then I may be tempted to burn a root in with 6011.

Id have some dirty old steel to weld now and again I might try them

When I say dirty I'm talking along the line of paint, oil, dirt and grime. Not just a little rusty. Be warned they may still not work on your machine.

6011,6010 are a deeper penetrating, fast freeze cel.
The first two numbers are indicators of weld metal strength, 70s actually build is an extra strength over and above most standard parent metals being welded in fabrication.
