With a couple of catsuit clad sorts in it...A Countach In white would do
Ahh my mate used to race thoseOr for 80s, an mg maestro turbo!!
I had a great desire for. Suzuki GT750 from the late 70s….fun for a few days in the late 90s, but pants compared to newer stuff…..rose tinted glasses and all that! Most of us have forgotten how bad 1980's cars were, if the choice was to include a try before you buy I would imagine most would get left where they are.

lovely RS TurboIve had to choose a few times. What seems like a lifetime ago I’d just finished 2 years doing a Tiger Avon. Bought it as a sad unfinished pinto powered kit, 8 hour round trip to pick it up. It ended up as a 1.8 zetec powered road/race car.
Was just about to IVA it when a work colleauge offered me his RS2000 that had been restored in the 90’s but had stood since.
The Tiger paid for half of it.
Had the RS 7 years, but it got to the stage where I had got bored of looking at (and not using it) and got rid of it for silly money.
This left a car shaped hole in the garage. I’d looked at various options, browsing ebay one saturday night and a 3 hour phone call later, I’d agreed to do a single ticket 400 mile train trip to look at a series 1 RS turbo.
As soon as the garage door was opened I knew the tank was being filled up and it was being driven home, it was a warm summers day up from canterbury to lancs and it was the most surreal journey, lost count of the horn blows, lights flashed, and people slowing down to acknowledge the car.
Its been through covid with me, manically polishing and cleaning bits, hasn’t been used much with one thing and another, but it isnt going anywhere

Also a very good carPrefer the RS myself…..
To be fair I think there were a lot of good cars about in the 80s, fuel injection was reliable and made a huge difference, rust protection was coming on leaps and bounds and you could fix them without taking out a second mortgage! Most of us have forgotten how bad 1980's cars were, if the choice was to include a try before you buy I would imagine most would get left where they are.

Now they were a proper carIf I could have any vehicle back from my past, it would be the Mk2 Granada 2.8i Ghia X that I sold for a pittance. B400GTV.

Not sure what you are trying to say? (Seriously).
Interesting that BMW and Volvo are now using materials made from plants. It is supposed to be really good stuff but I haven't seen any as yet.
The Scorpio and cars of its age. The insulation was made of something unusual, so maybe the same stuff. It just cracked and fell off the wire when exposed to any heat.Wasn't in America they experimented with wire insulation made from plants? Seem to recall rabbits ate a load of looms of brand new, unsold cars.
