The one interesting thing is our own bins are probably 16 years old and they are in better condition than the council supplied one which seems a bit flimsey in comparison.

We bought a couple of our own wheelie bin at our old house so the foxes didn't rip the bags, they were about £20 in Costco at the time.
We get weekly collections, alternating between recycling stuff and 'general' waste.
