Why are my fillets so crap?!

Burn a box of rods in the flat on a plate run bead after bead and when you start to get the feel and see what's going on and then you get slag peel practice another box on another plate run more beads then move on to a lap weld then try a tee fillet

I’ve been playing around with the old buzz box and getting better at fillets but still struggling to hold a tight arc and they’re quite inconsistent so I bought an inverter to make life easier.
This was my second weld out of the box:

I’m quite happy with that!

I learnt basic fillets a while ago still satisfying hitting the slag off and getting a nice clean job
