That gives me an idea though.. if i put a half inch square on the end of the roller instead of a handle i could use either a breaker or air tools to wind it.

The comment on adding heat was a general one as to being able to do any reasonable thickness
in reality it's not required to make say 5/8 ths small rings
It does give me thoughts about pigtail bar ends

I have happily done 10mm bright bar using the thing I made. it would probably manage 13mm black bar.
ok I was surprised. Keep it simples.

Nice one Chunko' :-D Looks great and you always seem to make these jobs look easy! A friend wanted me to make a paint rack similar to this but I coulnt think of an easy way to rib it and thought it would take for ever and being a free job I stopped there... Well you've just showed me (sorta) how to do it. I'm still using my MKI ring bended, I've made a million excuses as to why I dont have time to complete it. Looks great though so well done!

Hi Kent, Thank you! I am and is why I've not been around here much. I havent done anything apart from pond covers and thought people where getting a bit fed up of me posting about them. Ive made some really nice ones recently so might add a few to the gallery

Great get them up! I have two to do here at home and although I haven't been able to donate time to many home jobs yours inspire me - might get onto them this summer?
