ive got a full set of Marples, about 20 years. I keep these for best which means they hardly get used.

i have the marples set just used on new wood and are razor sharp .just test by shaving the hairs of my arm then have 4 good quality ones for work that get hacked about but just sharpen them when they no longer cut

I've got some old plastic handled ones for hacking about so these will be for best.

Same here,
The occasional door to be fitted,
A second hand, new set,
Though I prefer the wooden handled £6:50 Lidl specials, they're lighter to use.
