That's my everyday wear boot, just have to watch out if you're welding as the tongue isn't spatter proof! If I'm doing some welding I put on the boulder version with a full leather tongue.

So , no problem monies wise but normally use boots that just go over ankle and not so far up leg as gamekeeper , so studied what other grisport ones were made with same sole , quattro s seemed to fit the bill, quick scan on ebay to find a as new , boxed pair which were wrong size for purchaser..offered £60 plus postage, accepted. Arrived today , super comfortable and just the ticket , so will see how I go with these and update later . cheers everyone

certainly are , heel feels like it is to square at the back but hey ho that will wear in soon enough , certainly got a cracking buy as they are unused new for £65.
I've a pair of those for walking, going to town, etc. Very comfortable but are quite warm.

Decided to give my boots some TLC. First they got a wash with glycerine soap then left to dry.
Then a coat of Leder Gris, heated with a hot air gun to soak it in then another coat.
Quite a good finish considering the leather doesn't have a naturally smooth finish to start with,

Jus t got in , cold out feet warm , the boots still feel slightly like moon boots and clompy , but they certainly grip well in /on rough/muddy ground , I am very happy with them. cheers

Another vote for William Lennon - I have the external toe cap variant used with Herdwick wool insoles for the winter. They've been in daily use since 2019 and not even an eyelet has pulled through. They're so comfortable I wear them out and about, not just on site. Now my girlfriend, father and brother have all got some! Certainly the best value work boots I've ever had.
