u just provide the slab and the lab but most will have a crew to assemble the thing.....
I would have bought one from the UK (before) Brexit but couldn't get a decent price on delivery.....
200m2 was a bit over £14,000 complete with everything.....
cold rolled galv frame and all walls, roof fully insulated with one huge roller shutter door....plus a couple of see thru roof panels....
binned all the quotes now but started thru eBay and think the firm was Norwich way....

Cladding prices are crazy same as steel they say price can/will be different from quote on delivery!! nightmare time for pricing any job

What you've got there in your second picture is exactly what we are after just a bit bigger.

I don't want to **** about with roof lights.
I will have enough LED battens in there to light up Blackpool.

The issue with our workshop currently is it's red hot at the minute and humid = tools want to rust at the soonest opportunity.

In the winter it is freezing and of course tools want to rust if you have a warm day the cold of the night condenses.

I had a price of £25k just for the 10x5m on the side on a supply only Bases at the start of the year from shufflebottom.

Our dairy building is clad and roofed with insulated sheets, can't remember the thickness though, basically theyre just used like normal box profile sheets.

Yes I've fitted a few insulated sheets but it's tying the sheets on the roof into the walls with no air gaps, and then how do the sheets get sealed at ground level and around the frame?

like I say we are not steel erectors, in the past I've only welded the beams to drawings.

I wouldn't mind starting with the 10x5 on the side.

as you say piling might be necessary.

If I can do all the steel work in-house, then get a cladding firm in to fit the cladding and a door firm to fit the doors, it would be great.

Our walls don't actually come right to ground level, we have 6ft or so of blocks that the sheets come down to. How the walls tie in I've no idea if I'm honest, can get the camera out tomorrow though.

That's how our current shed is but because the base is bigger than the shed we get water permeating through the block work

Our internal walls are fibreglassed, a tually thinking we might have one bay that's sheeted right down, will look tomorrow.

What about the guy that built the tractor shed for @awemawson?

He bought the whole shebang from a company in Cheshire, and it was delivered (including the roof sheeting) on two lorries. So the company did the calcs.
Previously he would have made it on site from u/b's and rsj's but there is now a requirement for such constructions to be CE marked, and my insurers wouldn't cover it if it wasn't.

Cost more but has the advantage that it's all hot dip galvanised!

Brad we have a good structural engineer onboard that I can recommend, his thing is concrete and steel. There is also rather a large pile of beams in the yard that I won't be needing. Not sure how big this new building is but there may be enough here to get going with.

We have done a few buildings frame & floor only customer has had cladding firms in most are a laugh, slow & poor finish sheets on skew etc.
Building has to be square to start with but good teams will cover most of any frame problems, we use clad boy's &Merlo roto's, to handle sheets
We try to do most roofs with 1 x 12mtr sheet less joints to leak & faster

its built near man road so had to look nice all the rest are also in half brick and metal

but the main structure is steel frame and z purlins for walls and the roof structure
with roll on normal insulation for roof and also the wall sides

the roof panels are only box profile roofing and same for the walls

ive posted a video of another build same type and design of build up already maybe american but its the same here for the build with our building specs

I rang the guy who supplied our shed last week for an extension quote as a kit. He gave me a figure, but would confirm the final price, 1 week before he makes it. Id hate to be pricing any job right now!

Brad, as you probably know we're building our own 13x15 x 4m shed on the farm atm, we went with a designer and decided to build it ourselves for a few reasons, not least that because of our requirements and the surrounding buildings, we couldn't just buy a ready made kit building.
If we hadn't had those constraints, I'd have went with a kit building from a decent company for sure, it's definitely more cost effective that way. Although not by much. Our biggest killer was the steel price almost doubling what we expected.

I'm not sure it is. The 10x5 I had a price of £25k from shufflebottom and that wasn't including the roller shutter.

I think they were talking about two bays, so 6 stanchions. That's three portal frames. Plus tie bars. I think that was with the cladding supplied but no erection etx
