I wasn't really paying enough attention to look for tracking numbers but there you go.

no point in giving it to them, i might as well get the value out of it.
its not really my trade, but it ill have a place here an odd time.
i started out with great gusto on a new hand saw but the gloss went off it after the tenth cut or so, im a bit lazy like that.
and im no fan of de walt either but after a lot of googling it pretty much came out as the best of the best in mitre saws so i made it so.

I've had the same saw for a few years now and it's never missed a beat with any wood I've cut so far.

would it be the slightly older version with the two slider rails vertical rather than horizontal, they say the older one had more oomph to it, ive worked both but not together to know for sure but ive seen one or two mention it.
either way they came up as the #1 in mitre saws from what i could see, the light on the blade is a great job.

Mine is six years old and the only difference I can see compared to yours is a different handle for locking the end stops. Just wish I had bought it before I made the roof trusses for my garage.

So why did they send it to India to get it back here?

I'm not too sure. Those boxes are freight boxes roughly cut up as on the other side it had an ink stamp on the wood half cut off.

Ok it's possible. I have to say it sounds like buisness suicide to make these things here in the UK fully at least. Theymight be a lot more than I should shell out but I bet it's darn hard for the firm to stay in the black if they do everything here

I've just been to the workshop again today in Feltham and they were getting out the 8" vice chassis for milling - they're huge


Have a look at this photo of a farmer who has mounted a 4" on the rear hoe of his JCB. A set up picture but it allows for your Swindens to be at your side anywhere you're working

He clearly doesn't like swarf on his workshop floor
