Yes my mums house had it installed. took the vented air from the bathrooms etc and put it through a heat exchanger, and blow it back in the houseI'm curious, any of you heard of a style of air source heat pump that uses the air of the house itself instead of the outdoor ambient air? It's connected to the ventilation system of the house (requires that you have one) and the air that is sucked out is used to run the ASHP.
The idea is that air is wasted anyway (unless you have a HRV system already) so why not use it to run a heat pump and get much warmer air and better COP? It's not uncommon here, though they tend heat hydronic systems and not do direct air heating.
I got a heated Gilet a while ago. Thin so it fits under other clothes away from sparks.I’ve gone 100% wimp.
end of last year I bought some heated socks but the one size fits all wasn’t quite true but the batteries were good so I kept them.
this latest pair were listed as L/XL and are a much better fit.
Its only my feet that I can’t stop becoming ice blocks in short order, the rest with thermals and padded carhartt dungarees are fine.I got a heated Gilet a while ago. Thin so it fits under other clothes away from sparks.
Had considered some socks too, my feet get very cold.
Best part is charging the power banks from my garage solar.

No I haven’t needed to wear them for a good 5-6 years. Just boots but may try fluffy lined ones at some point if needed. Are you wearing steel toe-cappers?
I got one of these generic Chinese ones https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BDFMWFFQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1What brand and how do you get on with it?
I’ve looked at the eBay cheapies and not sure. Not really up for a £150 Milwaukee one as I know it’ll likely be on fire in a few days if I’m welding in it.
I opened the roller shutter door yesterday - 12C outside and 3C inside - got the inside up to 7C after a few hours. It's now +13 outside the workshop and +7 inside. What's going on there!
And now everything is running with condensation
