Today's one was the phone call advising me that HMRC have taken out a warrant for my arrest over unpaid tax, yeah right!!

I got a tax rebate off HMRC, and questioned it and was told I was entitled to it. A while later after I had cashed it they decided THEY had made a mistake and wanted it back, threatened me with jail(giaol gail ffs) I said ok then incarcerate me then and all of sudden it was settled. At that time I was the stone and they wanted the blood.

HMRC have far too much power. They can destroy you on a whim and there is no legal recource whatever. They are judge, jury and executioner.

The vat man turned up at a friend's house with a truck and a warrant to seize goods to the value of god knows how many pounds because his wife/secretary had not sent off a cheque on time. They left when he reissued the cheque with a guarantee he could cover it. This was a long time ago I don't know if they can still do the same at a moment's notice.

I think it depends on how embarrassing the mistakes in the post are.
If it provides endless hours of finger pointing fun then the mods deem 2 seconds to be plenty before the edit button is pulled
