Polishing don't take long on this but i did lose the odd one or two

Hi langy what motor is in that polisher ? I have one the same size and it has a 3 phase motor are you running a power converter ? if you are can I ask how much it cost and where it came from.

Its a 4hp motor and yes i run it off a big 3ph invertor, Got it from Drives Direct off ebay, I found them very helpful and would reccommend them, Can't mention price i'm afraid as they did me a trade deal.

These machines work so much better on 3phase, I have another 3phase polisher i converted to single phase as well but it doesn't have the grunt or speed this one has.

Not much to show as most of it is the boring stuff at the moment and this detail stuff can eat up a fair bit of time but i did get around to making the master cylinder look a bit better, I was originally going to chrome the body but after 1/2 way through polishing i decided to paint it.

Master cylinder is new Raybestos unit from a 1955 F100 truck

First off got all the roughness off it and ground off the lettering and sticky out bits and put on 3 coats of epoxy primer, next 2 coats of Green TI hibuild, then it was all rubbed down and 3 coats of my special mix 2k white applied, its matches the firewall.

The cap was made on a CNC mill and is fashioned after a aircraft cap, this was hollowed out and glued to the original cap with 2 pack epoxy glue. Once set it was given a nice shine on my polisher.

The outlet of the cylinder was 1/2" UNF and you can't get a stainless fitting to 3AN so i spun one up on the lathe and drilled and tapped the centre to take a 3/8" stainless banjo fitting & bolt.

I wanted to add a lanyard to the cap and found some stainless bicycle brake cable, I'm well pleased how it came out

verry nice workmanship the finishing touch would be grind and polish the id letters of the 4 hold down bolts

In that colour the master cylinder almost looks as though it's been cast in porcelain!
Certainly doesn't look much like it's made from metal, more organic looking or like it's been formed on a beach along with the pebbles.
Credit again to your immense patience and attention to detail. I couldn't begin to attempt anything like it, I couldn't find the frame of mind.

I probably won't be using the ARP 12 point bolts, Will go with 3/8" stainless castle nuts and splitpins.
