However, without wishing to burst your bubble,
Just pee on his chips instead....?
However, without wishing to burst your bubble,
Ooh, I should have mentioned, great move getting rid of the locking wheel nuts but also a good idea getting replacements for all of them. They do have a reputation for corroding under the stainless steel cap and breaking off.A few deliveries today
Scuttle cover to replace broken one

Needs a scrub.
Also a chrome boot trim, chrome grill on its way, parts have been really cheap, £14 delivered for:

Also 4 standard wheel nuts, to remove the locking ones and a set of fitted mats in the car now.
That is a lovely looking car for sure and I really hope your dad gets many pleasurable miles (and not too many speeding tickets! )out of it.
However, without wishing to burst your bubble, it's more likely to have been a rental car than a demo or even management car. These are terms that Jaguar use when selling them off. They register thousands of cars every year that they then put out to the fleet and rental markets. How do I know? I did quite a bit of research into this after finding the remains of an old key fob in the boot of my 2017 XE with both my registration number and 'Thrifty' on it! As you can imagine, at the time I was more than a little miffed having been told by the Jaguar dealer I purchased the car from, that it was a 'Jaguar Management car sir'.
But no matter, all signs of that are well washed from it's history.
These are great looking cars Tom, enjoy!
Just back from Oban hospital, relatively good news, consultant happy with dad, just a very minor stroke, no longer dragging a foot and strength improving, they will get occupational health to assess him Monday then hopefully home. They are saying he will continue to improve. So just heading out to do some work on the Jag, 3 degrees out, so a bit chilly.

Definitely - just came across this thread - smiling all the way through it but then read about his stroke. Thank goodness he is recovering!Crikey - life's a roller coaster for you at the moment. I'm glad your dad appears to be ok. The car looks terrific.
2C in my warehouse and damp. Gets into the bones! But at least no rainVisited dad in hospital this morning, he appears to be recovering pretty well.
Back home and thought I would get back to some work on the Jag.
