Esab nu5 I keep in they are actually 6011. Good high penetration fast freeze rod

Should be able to get them in your country.

It is not I am afraid, Nu5 was a name I tried to look for last time I searched for 6010/6011. There is a peculiar non-existence of 6010/6011 here.

The lap welds on the angle frames that are now painted blue were done with the foxcel, yes. They were done with the Lincoln Weldanpower a few weeks ago before the rotor went open circuit on me

Been trying to find Böhler Fox stuff here, in Sweden I can find their 6010 but impossible in Finland. Also not sure my welder runs 6010 so I'd ideally like to try a 6011 rod. It would be nice to have a rod I can properly store. I keep my 7018 rods over my houses heat pump which slightly heats them but I don't think it does anything, just better than keeping it in a cold and damp place.

And my oven can't go high enough to rebake them either (wants 350C), unless you can get around it by going longer... My old 1/8" rods are probably really bad by now and need a rebake, came with my old welder and had been in a workshop, it all comes in card board packaging.

Yep, from what I gather, 99.9% of pipework in Finland is 7018 root and cap. Can you get Vodex (murex brand) over there? They are a very good rutile-cellulose with a hefty amount of cellulose in the coating. Not a 6010, but better at downhill than a regular 6013.

Can't find any of that either. It does seem if I want an electrode that doesn't need an oven and produces better welds than 6013 (told they get brittle in cold and it gets down to -30C here), it seems the choice is 7014, or OK 46.16 as it's known here.

How much would a box of 2.5 and a box of 3.2 cost you?

Based on the above, I'd say around 28 euros for 2.5mm (2,5kg pack) and 44 euros for 3.2mm (5kg pack)

That'd be interesting if I can get my hands on some from sweden, gonna keep trying finding them locally first. I found some 7016s in Finland but no 7014s yet.

Nu5 20kg tin on eBay was about 120ish a little while ago. Might be worth a couple of forum members clubbing together?
