There might be 6 or 7 on the plug but only 5 will essentially be used . You won't have to buy another pedal. You could return the one you bought before getting another. If you take the cover off it and photo the guts it will be easy to see if it is a simple case of bypassing the pot. If there is a circuit board in there then it's more complicated and your stuck with it but I doubt there will be.Im going to be bloody annoyed if i have to purchase a new pedal for it...As i paid the extra for the pedal.
IIRC, the Pedal has a total of 6 or 7 pins in the plug.
Mine also has a 7 pin plug. 2 are not connected, is imagine yours is the same. Out of interest does it have only 1 plug and you can't have the torch and pedal connected at the same time or is there 2 plugs.
Yep exactly as I thought. 5 cables for both. Here is the wiring diag from the manual and although it says the top is for foot I suspect it is different with the pedal @Gizmo.Y has. It may however be possible to connect it that way and if so then it should work just the same as the torch with button/pot.

Giz this is a simple thing to do.
The switch is connected directly . The switch isn't the issue it's the second pot that is taking over the control.Hopefully it is just a case of connecting the switch direct but I have a nagging feeling it may be using more pins.
When using the torch controls hood can you set the current from the machine using the main dial with the torch plugged in.Hopefully it is just a case of connecting the switch direct but I have a nagging feeling it may be using more pins.
Not sure about min but you'd be able to set the max. Min would likely be the Lowest setting on the machine. So you start up at 5 amps and your max would be whatever you set on the panel.I still want the potentiometer in the pedal to work, i just want to be able to set the min and max amperage on the control panel
With the pot it takes over totally and you can not adjust from the machine, with the UP/Down switch insert connected then yes, can alter from either torch or panel. So looks like because the switch insert only makes contact when you press then it allows you to control the current from the panel. When using the torch controls hood can you set the current from the machine using the main dial with the torch plugged in.

What other wires do you think there are then?
I can't think of any and your drawings confirm it.
We'd need to see the pedal guts to confirm I think.
