for the posts about larger tank means it takes twice as long to fill and longer for compressor to kick in....

it'll take twice as long to fill if it's empty and you just turned it on


but, the truck is you adjust the pressure valve, so instead of kicking in at 80psi and out at 120psi it kicks in at 100 (still off at 120)

that's what I did with mine, and it runs great
(to be fair, mine kicks in at just over 110 psi and out at 120... but I added a 1500litre tank I got cheap on ebay)

differential pressure its called,... good switches are about 1 bar cheap ones 2-3 !

He probably sold it to you because he thought it was going tits up and knew nothing about the receiver filling with water.

I wish! I bought it as spares or repairs and found the motor was fubar but it is in as new condition, not a mark on it!

im just waiting for it got me, im soaked in the oil and water as he has to fill it slightly to drain it quickly

worst part he might have to poke it to clear it

Fit a 1\4 turn tap you can get to easily well worth the effort, the sniffy little things fitted are a pain, the tap is very often in another bung remove & fit larger pipe, all ours are on Aeroquip, if tap is at one end a slight tilt will help as well.
