Problem solved, if you unfriend it on FB it will be deflated and drained

for pressure testing the best trick is to fill the tanks with water first

they if they do crack / break / leak etc.. there's hardly any energy stored in them... so they go pfffft instead of bank

(because the water gets pressurized but not compressed)

Finally got round to draining the compressor today.

Small brass screw in a larger brass housing. Undid the screw and nothing, so gave it a little poke with a screwdriver and about 2 litres of water come out. But not before something came shooting out.

The screw I removed had a through hole in it and it looks like there should be a ball bearing in there.

Compressor is now empty of water but ive lost the ball bearing so can't use it until I get a new one

just fit a new tap or something in the hole

good opportunity to fit an elbow, and a length of pipe to take it to a ball valve in an easily accessible place... the standard fittings are cack anyway, no loss. only thing is get a ball valve rated for higher pressure, the water ones leak..
