Indeed yes. I like to use them where I can. My vintage Harrison lathe has massive whitworth bolts that are bigger than pre war..apparently Harrison had them designed for that model.Some early bolt heads were ridiculously big, reduced to save steel for the war effort.
The original bolts that hold the shaper body to the base are a little worse for wear...I managed to get one cleaned just to see how they are...I have ordered some new 3/8 bsw pre war bolts and washers.
