I remember not long after I found this forum you rebuilt the backend of your asphalt truck, I really enjoyed that thread!No. Restoration works is my hobby. I am actually a groundwork and asphalt engineer by trade. But I left that due to injuries.. I am currently 50 years old and unemployed.

A good idea. I have heard this before. Someone posted a picture years ago. Might of been you but can't rememberYears of oil dripping down and soaking into the motor on mine had melted the wiring causing it to trip out on startup.
So I cut a sheet metal to cover the hole and used liquid gasket to seal it, then put the top part back on.
Years later and the oil laying on top of it is 1" deep, all of which would have ended up on the floor without the plate.
