Aldi 40v batteries ?

Progress...I think on the Ferrex to (old style) DeWalt. A couple of renders of a one piece amalgamation.

I've given this to my lad as a .stl to try and figure how to print. He's currently cursing me Considering what supports / support filament etc.

We're going to try it whatever on the X1C but in all likelihood this will become a 2-piece print with threaded heat inserts and screws to put the parts together.

Currently printing in PLA with PLA bulk support & PETG just at the support faces . Might be fun digging it out.

This will have some issues as my lad pointed out when slicing it. I hadn't seen them. My pc is that old, rendering the model in AutoCAD is clunky, tbh torturous. His £2k graphics card set up makes it all a breeze.

Looking at the underside there's a very thin wall adjacent to two holes, I'll just add semi circular buttresses. Then the front two holes are D shaped, a result of merging the two parts. Both a quick fix in Autocad. Looking to thicken bosses up too in order to fit the threaded heat inserts.

I may change the battery blade slots for holes and use spade crimps to engage the Ferrex battery. Then there's thought neeeded as to how to support the original battery connector once the attached cell is removed as aforementioned (assuming I don't use a broom handle )

Looking at it, I assume the connections are as I've drawn on the cardboard for the battery connector. Negative the spot welded tab, T thermal sensor and the green wire is positive?

Needs to cool and the supports removing. I'll let my lad do that when he surfaces.
