Impressed with the Bambu Textshape tool, copied apparently from Prusa Saves scribbling on the print with a Sharpie.

Still doesn't quite fit mind. Just realised a couple of the DeWalt pillars are tapered.

I have to somehow figure how to reuse the sprung loaded clips that grip the DeWalt tool base or redesign something similar. As it is they are quite long which would make for an over tall adapter and closer together than I imagine a Parkside battery is wide. Not insurmountable mind.

Small update...Last night I at least sorted the taper issue last post but one. Hoping to add "side walls" to the red bit later. Once it fits the yellow, original, DeWalt top half, then ANY 18/20V battery "female" section can be grafted on the botom.

Whilst racking up the PLA waste, the base now fits perfectly. Lines up spot on with the original 6 fixing holes. Now to "raise the walls":

Because of it being a scanned drawing it's going to be a little organic but the end result shouldn't notice. We have "walls"! Ready for another test print. The render is rubbish on this pc, I'll get my lad to do a better one on his machine:

We have a test "base" that fits. Really very, very good considering it's scanned vector origin. Sometimes I amaze myself! Printed in about 50 minutes using Lightning infill:

Next is to graft the Ferrex female base to it. Some rough concept renders below. The Ferrex base model that we've printed before I've simply sunk into the DeWalt base. Needs some work to include the battery clip groove that's now become flushed off and infilled. I've left it two colours to show the two parts. Later I'll make them one solid:

Not forgetting I've to figure the 'effin side clips that hook onto the tool!

No worries as I'll lose interest for another 4 years before that plus beer will get in the way.

I don't even like DeWalt kit!

If anyone happens to have a dead Ferrex or Parkside battery I'd be interested in having it / them to measure.

I have a few parkside x20 battery cases that donated their cells to recell some makita & hitachi batteries. I also have a few of the parkside bms boards.

I'd be interested in a few adaptors to use either makita or parkside batteries in dewalt tools that use the post type batteries. We have quite a few old dewalt tools at our men's shed but only 2 working original batteries.

I say Parkside though I'm mainly looking at Ferrex. Changes should be minimal and if I really put my mind to it I reckon I might come up with an adaptor that does both.

Still on the lookout for a Ferrex shell too.

Oh NO..... It could be worse. You could have used evo stick tile adhesive which did not go off after 24 hours and had to be all ripped up and returned to B and Q. 1 day shower fitting has taken 3 days.
