Still loving this little Aldi inverter!

Even my rough, tough, agricultural apprenticed, diesel fitting BiL appreciates his for the odd domestic job now he's older! Can grab and sling in the car rather than get help to lift the big old Oxford. Says it burns bigger rods at less amps.

How old is this welder?
If I understood it's 2 years old , that does mean that did cost you 35£ for year .
And if it lasts other 2 years it cost you 17.5£ for year
I think that is a good investment it isn't the best welder in the world but I think that it gave your money back in less than a week

I have a stamos S-MMA 250 IGBT bought almost a year ago , not the same price of yours but always a cheap machine
For the price I paid for it is a great machine
I used it with any kind/sort of electrodes ,the other day I build an inductor to improve the E6010 capabilities , and I'm very impressed with the results .
Anyway this cheap stick machine in my opinion are just worth to buy.
They are cheap
They are easy
This days they are very reliable also
They are light and compact
For general maintenance and small jobs they are good enough , sometimes better than brand name machines with the same specs

Essentially what it does is make a momentary current reservoir
So it works only when the circuit is closed
Once starting the arc it gives a bump of current ,and during the weld it keeps the current smooth ,but any variation of the arc modify the output because this cause a variation of the magnetic field involved in the inductor
When the arc is going to extinguishing the inductor gives another bump of current , and this allows to use E6010 way easier than without .
That's because my inverter has not any arc force or hot start even no antistick
So was little bit a pain starting the arc with E6010 , but my welder can weld cellulose also without the inductor but is not as easy to control as my engine driven welder,but now with the inductor isn't the same as the engine driven but is far less stressful to use

I know people who have, they gave no trouble. One issue is no ability to use a foot pedal for aluminium.
