Looks effective.
Watch out for overtightening it and squishing the tubes, not a problem on cheapo frames, but better ones are stupid thin.
I did once help a mate to squish his stays using jubilee clips t hold a luggage rack.
Many thanks for the warning because I wouldn't have thought of that. The next step is to 'wrap' the harness with one or two layers of carbon fibre each side, both for some strengthening and, moreover, for the sake of appearance.
