I'll use it to within its spec and see how they hold out.
Yes it certainly is if dealing with sheet metal. That looks like a very useful tool.
Tell the wife it's my fault and she can give me a telling off. My number is 1234567890.I'm impressed. Darn you Richard. I didn't need one of those yesterday!
I don't think you can Gordon unless you have a surface grinder.I have not actually seen these blades Richard, Is it possible to re-dress the blades with a light find if they become chipped?
Thin strips cut off distort a fair bit bit but if your cutting a bit of width off the sheet it hardly distorts at all and what little bit it does is easy pulled back by hand.good report, i hvent had a chance to make a vice mount yet ( im doing the exact same as you, no way im drilling holes in my SS bench! overall quality seems 'good' not superd mind, good. paintwork is ok, and the casting is ok too.
i suppose though these are all just cosmetic, and how it cuts is the most important thing by far. im exited to see how it goes. any pics of the SS richard?
is the piece that goes under the sheer distorted beyond use?
No mate but tbh I ain't feeling like I want to bother with them at the mo.Well [they] that SUCKS. Esp then they could get them sent via USPS Global Priority mail in 5-7 days for 29usd (max wt 8lbs)
