verry good but no a chemical company supplies them for me along with waterproof jackets to keep me warm and even tools
but they dont know about it

the jackets have company names on them but when the firm gets taken over they bin the gear and supply the lads with the new ones with the new logo on em. i got 20 pairs of overalls with central electricity generating board on them 2 quid each because firm changed name to nuclear electric and lads sold them all at car booties

My day job supply me with boots,
The last couple of pairs have the dewalt apprentice ones which i'm pleased with,
Nice and lighweight, comfortable enough to wear all day at work and also a few hours at home in the workshop,
wear them most weekends in the workshop also and generally get about 18 months out of them which seems fair.

update on dickies boots ive had them 4 weeks cleaned and polished every day and the leathers cracking down the side and seems verry thin

I ordered my new boots on the 10th of April. On the 14th I got an email saying they hope to despatch them in ten days.
On the 24th I sent an email asking when I was going to get them. I got a reply the same day saying they would check on the progress and get back to me. Still not heard anything......

Best boots I've ever
Glasgow Corpy bus garages issued them to the maintenance staff - two pairs per year, iirc.
I put off putting them on because they were just so feking strange. Eventually, I got around to trying them and persevered for a couple of weeks. After that I was quite comfy in them and have occasionally entertained notions of getting a pair, but sanity prevails.
The best boots I've paid for in recent years have been Trucker - damn near half the weight of ordinary safety boots and pretty hard-wearing. Really comfy for me too, as I take a wide fitting and most normal safeties are a bit narrow.

Boots arrived today twenty days after ordering. Look ok so far. Whether or not they're worth 85 quid depends on how they last. Leather looks ok - about the same thickness as my old hogs boots. The padding around the ankle is a bit weird, not the same as the picture on their website which shows normal ankle padding. This is more like the cuffs on a bomber jacket! Soles look decent enough. Now starts the long process of making them my own.

I have have gone thru a fair few pairs of boots in my time, they wear out,scraped and scuffed to pieces from crawling under trucks and plant machinary. The best pair of boots I have had are Caterpillar Supremacy boots. I have a pair for best and a pair for work, when the pair for work get worn out I then use the pair for best as my work boots and then buy a new pair for best (stock rotation you might say ) LOL

I've been looking for toe-cap protectors and toe-cap repair kits. I can find them in the US, but postage rules them out.
Every pair of steelies I've had in the past 20 years has lost the leather over the toe-cap sooner rather than later, and it then becomes a leaky boot.

great providing itshe has one leg
i sugest u rub a bit of leather oil on them every day it keeps the leather soft and they last twice as long
