I have something similar to paint soon. Almost finished my trailer. Frame is 50x50mm angle 6mm thick. will be sandblasted first.Slow going. Second coat of the epoxy mastic. Nearly finished this layer. So aiming to have done all the epoxy by end of weekend.
Focusing on loading the paint on, and getting a half decent finish.

I was only thinking of the rollers to get rid of the brush marks really.Jotamastic 90A (or 90) slightly overthinned with thinner 17 will go on on lovely with a decent brush.
It's a recomended application method from the makers.
I wouldn't bother with the roller, but if you do, use the short pile gloss rollers and be prepared to change them often when they start moulting.
Rollers don't apply a thick enough coat so you need to apply more coats to achieve the same performance.
A couple of coats by brush should last for years.
This is so true.short mohair spreads it enough like a brush whilst not having streaks from the brush
most peoples issues is spreading the paint too thinly with the roller as its easily done if your not sure add another coat or 2 coats
dry walls prove this fact to be true as it really shows up when you roller a wall
Did you blast it first? This is so true.
I'm loading the surface quite thick.
I used a batch of paint to do one end of the wagon with the brush, and an using the same amount (or a bit more) to do an end with the roller, so I figure it's gone somewhere!!
I'm doing three coats of the jotamastic, and maybe four around the base. Paranoia? But will still keep an eye on how it fares over time.
Link please?I also use the hairy woolly rollers and have now found a good supplier on amazon at about £5/10,they’re wearing as well as ones 3x the price.
Couldn't. It's on the patio. I used a needle descaler. Much noise and electric. And a polydisk on a grinder.Did you blast it first?
Unfortunately too far from you (NZ), but thanks for the offer.Sure!
You never know. I fancy a trip to NZ.Unfortunately too far from you (NZ), but thanks for the offer.
Yes sml etc will sell it.Oops. I appear to have been using too much hardener....... Can I get jotamastic hardener on its own, I wonder?
