Thanks, good advice, that. Appreciated.if you look up eaves protector its flexiable enough to slide up under the roof
its cheap enough and it will push out the dripping water
im not, ive fitted the stuff for years when building dormers and other property repairsAlways the optimist, Gaz!
It's hollow soffit, uPVC so should be fairly stable, UV rated and all. But if it does move then so what? It's facing a fence.
Decent blades and if you can adjust the rake of the blade - often they start wandering because you're pushing them too hard. I found with my Milwaukee M18 Jigsaw if I keep the blade too vertical (which results in a cleaner cut) you really have to slow the speed down - push too hard and it can't clear the chips away and this is what tends to cause the wandering. Go for maximum rake and I can up the speed a lot but the cut finish isn't as nice.Nearly there. Some of the cuts were crap, occasionally the Damn jig saw is like a Labrador, only any good when the tail is wagging. Then it cuts straight for ages and, boom, crap again.
Do you have a mitre saw? Might be a better option for getting straight edges - I've been cutting PVC waste pipes and PVC trunking for the office with very good results with a bog standard wood blade on my mitre saw. Just don't push hard and it'll cut through it neatly - push and it tends to tear chunks off at the same time.
