The woods is nice, the steel will need a refresh, but should look good once the stainless nuts and washers are on.

I don't think so, I'll fit the documents holders, and all the door hardware, and I think she has an appropriate build plate somewhere. But not sure about the lettering.

Anyone know what should be in the document holders? Is it a slate? Or a bit of timber? My dad remembers having to put the documents behind the board when he used to load wagons as a kid.

By putting a bit of attention into the spacing of the boards I've ended up with an even top board, with no gap. And some bits left over.

There's a strap across the top which finishes the frame, so my thinking is to rip the spare bit so it fits, then the grove will hold the full board in place better.

But not tonight, or, indeed until Sunday, at the earliest.

And, using an off cut, I'm working out spacing for the floor and the plasterboard.

Would cement backer board be better as plaster boards toss with damp?

I don't know. I think it's okay. There'll be heat in the thing most of the time. Breathable membrane etc.

I'm also thinking of putting nylon washers between the outer wall and the insulation.

I thought I had COVID yesterday, but I'm in better form today so was working on a test fit of the window panel. Much painting to be done, but I'm happy enough. I might even get this fitted this weekend.

Obviously the panel will go outside the PVC when fitted for good.

I'm happy enough with how the silicone spread under the PVC, should be a good seal. Of course I had to remove some and repaint, but that's fine.

Feeling a bit better, so wiring up the fairy lights. I forget how blind management can be, but she's insisted on outdoor lights, these were the best option I think.

They're 12mm led downlighters, and 12v ip57. So should work.

I was hoping to be able to hide the cable over the door way, but no success, none if my cable running tricks worked, and I've a great big mistake to hide now. Nevermind.

And first coat of the zinc phosphate on the outer of the window panel. A ...ing heavy layer with the last of the tin,b applied with a short haired roller.
