Like most of us on here I am not adverse to modifying stuff to make it better but it does help having something decent to start with
Having just switched from a Copymaster to Ender 5 Plus it was surprising how noisy the stepper motors on the Ender were
Bought a silent board and the difference is significant
Printer is upstairs across the landing from our bedroom and wife cannot sleep with any background noise
It's like the loudest noise on the submarine scenario, keep looking for the loudest until you get to an acceptable level
Have now ordered a fanless power supply and large case fan and see where we go once they are installed
